Sample Project: Incorporating sculpture, photography, and digital editing.

Being prepared is critical to any project, especially those involving technology.  For this project, the students were asked to create a site specific sculpture installation in maquette (small) form.  They then needed to photograph the sculpture and digitally insert it into a chosen location.  The process challenged the students tremendously since they needed to think about the meaningful concept behind the material of the sculpture and the location as well as how to use the technology to photograph and digitally composite the final image.  Having the photography knowledge helped me to better prepare my students for this challenge.  The results were very rewarding.
