Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, a nonprofit organization established in 1994, identifies teenagers with exceptional creative talent and brings their remarkable work to a national audience through The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards which dates back to 1923. The Alliance partners with more than 100 regional affiliates across the country to provide creative teens with opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication and scholarships.

This past year, four of our exceptional students registered to participate under my guidance.  In the end, all were proud to participate but two received award recognition at the regional adjudication which took place in NYC.  Their artwork was recognized with an Honorable Mention and Silver Medal. I selected and submitted the artwork based on the students' technical skill and conceptual ideas.
